The Ex-Militants under the Presidential Amnesty Programme have been urged to undergo various training in the scheme to have simple talent or passion for business with a view to earning a livelihood.
Facilitators at the Amnesty Empowerment Programme, Arc (Mrs) Patricia Danyil and Managing Director, Nolia Consult Limited, Charles Odemwingie Aibangbee both urged the participants undergoing training on fish farming to explore and develop their potentials to earn a livelihood.
“The truth remains that one will do better if you explore your potentials and develop on them”Aibangbee said.
Aibangbee who spoke in Benin City during a one week entrepreneurship refresher training on fish farm for ex-militants, said the participants particularly the youths from the Niger-Delta region must find something that will make their business standout as it is critical to the survival of an enterprise.
“Not everyone seeking a job will get employment and not everyone is cut out to be an employee.
“It is therefore important for everyone to have knowledge of alternative forms of income which can come from pursuing entrepreneurship.” Aibangbee said.
He noted that the training is in line with the presidential directive to integrate restive youths in the Niger-Delta into the society through the presidential Amnesty Programme.
